The Satay Club at Esplanade was a popular hawker centre famous for its satay – a dish of seasoned, skewered and grilled meat, served with peanut sauce. Started in the late 1940s, the Club moved from various locations before settling at The Esplanade in 1970. In 1995, the Club was demolished to make way for the Esplanade-Theatres on the Bay.
