Singapore’s Hawker Stalls Art Print

From the 1960s through the 1980s, an island-wide health initiative was carried out, relocating unlicensed food vendors from the street to regulated hawker centres with proper amenities. Today, there are hundreds of hawker centres located across Singapore. Each hawker centre houses food stalls offering different varieties of affordable local ethnic cuisine. Iconic dishes, like Chicken Rice, Laksa and Nasi Lemak are usually part of the hawker family legacy, handed down across generations.
