‘When you love what you have, you have everything you need.’
Instead of buying home decoration pieces, add your own personal touch by creating your very own pieces that can accessorise your home and change the look and feel of your space! Check out these 5 Pinterest ideas for some easy home DIYs decor inspiration!
MINIMALIST PHOTO WALL
Put together your favourite moments and turn it into a hanging art! What you need is just these four items – wooded stick, strings, craft paper and photos!
Instead of keeping it monochrome, go crazy and give it a splash of your favourite colour!
WOVEN RUSTIC STORAGE BOX
Upgrade your trashcan with this DIY project!
You can also turn your cardboard boxes into a nice rustic storage box to place your items neatly in your room or living room with just some rope and a glue gun!
If you want something more durable, get a cheap plastic box and upgrade it! Remember to have some inner lining to complete it!
HEXAGON WALL ART
If you want something that’s cheap yet looks elegant (without looking cheap) at the same time, this home decor DIY project will be perfect.
Simply purchase icecream sticks from Popular (or you can literally eat icecreams and use them for this. I won’t judge you, promise.) Glue them at the ends to form a hexagon until your desired thickness and coat it with a gold or silver paint!
Now you can use it as a shelf or just simply as a wall art!
What you will need is simply four photoframes, glue gun and some paint! To be cost-effective, you can get photoframes sold in packs (from IKEA or Daiso). Give them a coat of paint of your choice to match your interior or leave them as it is. After they have dried, glued them together. They will make beautiful centerpiece on your dining table!
An alternative would using three photoframes instead of four to form a triangular candleholder!
Recycle using your old mirror, or buy one from the local convenience store. Get your satay sticks and trim off the pointy side! Glue them around the mirror to create the starburst effect before finally giving it a coat of silver paint or any colour of your choice!
Play and experiment with other shapes and you can accentuate that empty wall in your entryway!
